{Reading the Book of 1 Thessalonians~Week 5}

Message of encouragement: Knowing and Expressing our Faith

Finding encouragement when you do not know you need it! We are reading through the book f 1 Thessalonians learning how to live under suffering. We would love for you to join in with us!As I have read and re-read this book over the last several days I cannot help but think about the faith, the love, and the steadfastness of hope the Thessalonica church understood and expressed.  This church was conceived under much tribulation and that tribulation continued after its conception. I think we forget, we do not think about,  or do not grasp the fact that from the beginning of the church’s existence  it has been under attack. News Flash, persecution, and suffering will never cease for the church. This is not our home. We are aliens and strangers in this place.  Our call is to live victorious through Christ and call sinners to repentance amidst the hostility and persecution of the world. But as we can see through the words of this book we have a living hope and a gospel that comes with power! Continue reading

{Why Your Daughters Need to be in Your Bible Study!}

I am over at Satisfaction Through Christ today talking about having our daughters in our “Women’s Bible Study classes!”

Bible Study Satisfaction through ChristI grew up going to church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night! All of that time spent except for the worship service I was in a group with other kids. I know some church’s today even separate the littles and the youth from the worship service? More on that another time! Today some churches have small groups that meet in different homes at different times during the week for Bible Study.  I am not saying there is anything wrong with all of these different classes. But what I am saying is that maybe we need to rethink some things.

Have you ever thought about having your daughters in your “Women’s Bible Study Class?’ Me either? Not until God gave me two lovely girls and a desire to train them up to know and fear the One true God. It is so easy to get caught up in tradition and what has always been that we do not think,  maybe somethings need to change. I hope this post gives all of us something to think and pray about. {Reading The Book of Galatians~Week 1}

 That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1:9.

Would you join us in Reading 17 New Testament books? We are putting the truth of the Bible in our hearts and minds!This passage of Scripture has been rolling through my mind as I sit here thinking about all that is taking place in our world today! There is nothing new under the sun! The  world is involved in the same things today that it was involved in since the beginning if time. That is not going to change!  But the world and its foolishness are creeping into the church. My mind is drawn more to that which is going on within the church than that which is taking place in the “World.” John tells us in 1 John 2:17, “The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” Please, I do not mean that I do not pray for and mourn for others. I do, very much! I pray that we all do! But this book was written to the church to guide, teach, and train her to stand firm on the word of God. Not listen to and follow the ways of the world. {Reading 17 New Testament Books In 17 Weeks!}

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of
the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the
seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and on His Law, he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its
fruit in season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

Bible Study: Is very important for the believer but reading through it in context is just as important. Join CTTTruth as we read 17 New Testament Books in 17 Weeks.

Have you been in a bible Study class and it is going to end for the summer? Have you been doing my Romans Study and are waiting for Part two to come out? Be looking for it in August of 2016! The class that meets in my home takes a break over the summer. We have found it difficult to study through the summer, although we have given it a good try. Vacations, gardening… seem to crowd out our study time! I am not advocating not studying! Heavens no! I would not be a good teacher if I told you not to study:) However I do believe reading our Bible is as important as our study time. Continue reading

{The Requirements of the Law Are Fulfilled in Christ!}

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The requirements of the Law are fulfilled in Christ! Join CTTT as we do a Bible Study in Romans 8 and learn this marvelous truth. O, go and tell someone this truth!Do you not know? Have you not heard? God did it! God sent His One and only Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as an offering for sin. Why did He do this? We read in Romans chapters 1-3 that men do not fear Him, they do not honor Him, and they exchanged His incorruptible glory for an image that is corruptible. {The man that Romans speaks of is me, and all humanity.} This man made image  will fade away but the God who always was, will always be! The God of heaven and earth, who man rejected, sent His Son to die for our sins and to accomplish in us what the Law could not do. Continue reading
