Learning Beside You,

Jesus is Our Rescue From the Wrath to Come!!!

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. Romans 1:18-19

But, for those who are justified:

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. Romans 5:9

And we wait for His Son from heaven whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

There is a final wrath that is going to come. Instead of a flood the earth will  be destroyed by fire. Those who have no faith in Jesus Christ and who do not honor God will endure His wrath and anger forever and ever, in the lake of fire! But praise be to God He has given us His Son to take the wrath that was due everyone of us!!!

All who read this post that are saved by the blood of Christ, Praise Him for His gracious gift.

I want to encourage you to pray for all those that do not believe, that God will save them from His wrath.

Today is the day of salvation!

Christ is Our Security! 365 Days With Christ!

For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us, by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yes and no, but is yes in Him. For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to te glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

And like a mantle You will roll them up; like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not come to an end. Hebrews 1:12

If we are in Christ Jesus. If we are united with Him in His death, we are secure in Him. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ!

Christ is Our Joy! 365 Days With Jesus!

The joy of the Lord is my Strength. Nehemiah 8:10

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11

He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices, greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full. John 3:29

But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. John 17:13

He is my joy and my great delight. In Him I will trust.

Jesus Is Our Sanctification! 365 Days With Jesus

What is Sanctification?

Sanctification is the work of God’s free grace, whereby we are renewed in the whole man after the image of God, and are enabled more and more to die to sin, and live unto righteousness.

Renewed in the Whole Man: Moreover I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.  Ezekiel 36: 26-27

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Enabled to More and More Die to Sin: Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:5

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1

Because of the perfect work of Jesus Christ, those who have been regenerated, repented and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are sanctified. Sanctification is a setting apart unto God. Our old nature has been changed, and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, we are being changed into the image of Christ.

Learning Beside You,

The definition of sanctification is from the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
