{Freed to Walk in Newness of the Spirit!}

Believers are no longer bound to Law. We have been joined to christ! We can now walk in newness of life. Join CTTT in our Bible Study in Romans.In the beginning, God said, Let there be… and by the word of His power, there is. Then God said, “Let us make man in Our own image, according to Our Likeness. He formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into Him. He placed the man in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to keep it. He commanded the man saying, ” From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” {Genesis 2:16-17}

That day came!  The crafty serpent, satan, tempted Eve she took and ate. She gave also to her husband Adam and he ate from the forbidden tree.  God kept His covenant promise and put all of His creation under a curse and death entered the world. God took the man and the women He had made and drove them out of the garden. Continue reading

{Set Free to Walk in Newness of Life}

The believer has been set free from the bondage of the law. now lets walk in newness of life!In Romans 7 Paul is going to continue to remind the Beloved of their new position in Christ. He is going to use the analogy of marriage to guide us to an understanding of what God in Christ has accomplished for us. In Romans 6:3 Paul asked this question, “Do You Not Know?” Again in Romans 7:1 he asks, “Do you not know?” Galatians 5:1 teaches;

It is for freedom that Christ set you free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.”

{Are You a Slave to Sin or a Slave of Righteousness?}

Do you ever question how you are living your life? Are you a slave to God or a slave to sin?Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness.

Paul begins Romans 6:16 with these words, “Do you not know?” He asks this question looking back at verse 15 addressing  those who might say, “hey we are not under the law but under grace, let’s continue in sin. Why not, grace will cover it, RIGHT?”   Continue reading

{Is Your Heart Recieving Encouragement In The Grip of Grace?}

I am at Satisfaction Through Christ today sharing about the  encouragement God gives in the midst of our discipline!

Do you receive encouragement when God has you in His grip? The Bible teaches that there is Joy in the our transformation.I had just gotten off of the phone with my niece Lizzy! She and her new husband are going to be traveling from Mississippi to watch my daughter Hannah in her first play! We were working out the details of the trip. Because Lizzy is one if not the biggest encourager I have when it comes to my blog I shared with her the humbling opportunity that God has given to me to be a contributing author to “Satisfaction In Christ Alone!” She has helped me beyond what I could ever hope for. She knows what she is doing in this techy world. I, on the other hand, fly by the seat of my pants hoping I am getting it right! As is usual of Lizzy she was so uplifting, encouraging and excited for this opportunity that had come my way! Don’t you love an encourager? Continue reading

{Did You Know Death is Worthy of Celebrating?}

I do not normally celebrate a death. How about you? But according to the Bible there is great reason to celebrate our death. Please join Conforming To The truth as we study inductively through Romans. Print your Free Bible study today.As I was reading through Romans 6:1-11  in preparation for this post, I noticed the words die, death, died and dead appeared  in 9 of the eleven verses. I could not help myself, I had to count them! I found these words, collectively, recorded {for us} 18 times! We know that when a writer repeats a word  in Scripture he is trying to teach us something.  I do believe that God through the Spirit is flashing a bright light right before our eyes trying to get our attention. It has my attention, what about you? Continue reading
