{Bible Study in the Book of Titus}

Showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.  Titus 2:19

Book Cover for Titus Bible StudyLearning to adorn the doctrine or teachings of God is to read and study His word so that we may learn what is pleasing to Him. When we study we show ourselves approved unto God which brings glory and honor to His great name. Through prayer and study, we ask God how we are to act and behave in this world and in the body of Christ. God’s word guides us and teaches us how to adorn or walk in a manner worthy of our calling. Titus is a small book but is packed with much doctrine and teachings. We learn how men and women are to function in the church. We learn God’s standards for selecting a godly elder. We are given instruction as to how to conduct ourselves in the workplace and how we are to act towards our government and those outside the church. When we learn the truths from the word of God  and conform our lives to the teachings in this book the doctrine of God will be worn well and God will be glorified in us.  Continue reading

{What are the Qualifications of a Godly Church Elder?}

FREE STUDY IN THE BOOK OF TITUS. INFO AT THE END OF THIS POST!

https://conformingtothetruth.net/2015/07/13/adorning-the-doctrine-of-god-the-gospel-entrusted-to-paul/We are in our third day of Titus chapter 1. Today we will be looking at the qualifications of an Elder or pastor. We will be asking questions of the text such as,what are the qualifications of our pastor or elder, who decided the qualifications or characteristics of this position? Why are they important to the life of the church? Why does it matter that I know this?

Doctrine, doctrine, doctrine. Is it really that important? The answer to that question is, Yes, doctrine does matter and is very important. Most of us are looking for a message that will lift us up and encourage us as we struggle with daily life. Encouragement  is important but there comes a time when our walk with the Lord must have balance. We do not need all encouragement with no doctrine and vice versa, we do not need all doctrine and no encouragement. It is not just about us and our felt needs. As a believer, there is a bigger picture. The glory and honor of God through our conforming to the truths in His word. Learning what is pleasing to Him. In Titus, we will learn what pleases God with respect to the church. Our first look will be at the Elders or pastors that are stewards of the church of God. Continue reading

A Three Week Study in the Book of Titus: Details at the end of this post!

Do you believe the Scripture is our authority? By the authority of Scripture Paul was entrusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Join Conforming To The Truth as we study through the book of Titus. This Bible study takes three weeks to complete.Paul brings knowledge of the truth. Titus 1:1

Paul begins this letter much like he begins all the letters that have been written for our encouragement and instruction. He refers to himself as an apostle of Jesus Christ and a bond-servant of God. Paul boldly proclaims that he was entrusted with the proclamation of the gospel for the faith of those chosen of God.   We read these words from Paul in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Continue reading

Jesus! Ruler of the Kings of the Earth

clock-772953_1280

From Jesus, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood, He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Revelation 1:5-6

Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. Revelation 1:7

I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like the son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and hair were white like wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of running water. Revelation 1:12-15

He is our King. He is the Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. He is coming back soon to set up His Kingdom. Are you ready for His coming?

Celebrating Freedom in Jesus Christ!!!!

fireworks-804838_1280

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

And not only this, but we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:23

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Galatians 5:18

Therefor there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2

For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. Colossians 1:13

And we wait for His Son from heaven whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

Lets Celebrate our Freedom in Christ Jesus:

We are set free from the wrath of God to come!

We are set free from the domain of darkness!

We are set free from the curse of the Law!

We are set free from sin and death!

We are set free from the bondage of sin!

I hope you found these scriptures encouraging! Please share your praise to God with us and feel free to share other areas that we are set free.
