{Meet Lisa}

Welcome to Conforming To The Truth! I am so glad that you dropped by. Do not rush off. Please sit for a few minutes and relax.

I am Lisa. I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart, Roy. God has blessed us with three beautiful children, Andrew, Sarah, and Hannah. When I started this blog I was homeschooling my three children. Today, Roy and I have graduated 2 of them{ Andrew &Sarah}  and married 1 of them{Andrew}! Hannah our youngest has two years to go!!

 

Why I Host This Blog

God has placed a desire in my heart to study His word.

• I want  to know God,
• to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ,
• to know the truth of the Word,
• and to share that truth with you.

I write Bible Studies that take us deep into His Word. We will study not just pieces of the word but an entire book. The Lord has given me the opportunity to share Him through the writing of Bible Studies, leading Bible Study classes, and writing a blog.

I want to get women of all ages into the word of God. In my Bible Study at home, we have a mixture of ages ranging from 60 years to 10 years old and all ages in between. Both older women and younger women are sharing what they have learned from the word of God!

There is a generation of women of all ages who do not know the God of the Bible, nor the precepts that He has commanded. I pray that through these studies and this blog that God grows a community of women that know Him, live for Him, and stand on His word!

The book of Colossians has a prayer by the apostle Paul that is my model and wish for this blog:

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:9-12

 

I make no claims of being a theologian, I am just a believer like you, seeking and searching for the truth, learning daily to rest in Him!
